Stepper Motors with 10mm and 20mm Diameters

Nippon Pulse has introduced two of its smallest stepper motors to date, the PFC10 and PFC20 bipolar, 2-phase tin-can steppers. The PFC10 has a 10mm diameter, and the PFC20 a 20mm diameter. Both motors are well-suited to be designed into small motor systems that require valve control and fluid dispensing, such as gaming machines and medical devices. Both motors come standard with connectors to ease system integration

PFC10
  • A bipolar motor with 10mm diameter
  • Offers 1.0mN•m of holding torque
  • Step angle of 18 degrees
  • Starting pulse rate of 960pps
  • 20 steps per revolution
  • Rated voltage of 2.7V
  • 20 Ohm resistance
  • Inductance of 3.2mH
  • Rated current of 35mA/phase
  • Weighs 5 grams
PFC20
  • A bipolar motor with 20mm diameter
  • Offers 10mN•m of holding torque
  • Step angle of 18 degrees
  • Starting pulse rate of 370pps
  • 20 steps per revolution
  • Rated voltage of 8.9V
  • 100 Ohm resistance
  • Inductance of 47mH
  • Rated current of 89mA/phase
  • Weighs 35 grams

The PFC20 motor is also available in a “thin stack” design (PFC20T).

  • Offers 4.4mN•m of holding torque
  • Rated voltage of 8.7V
  • 21.7mm in height
