This Cartesian gantry system is a bio-medical handling system. There is a multi-drive system on the X-axis where a Linear Shaft Motor (S160T-350) with two forcers, for two independent movements, is used. The Y-axis is a parallel drive system where two Linear Shaft Motors (S200T-200) are used. Two Z-axes use NEMA size 17 hybrid motors (PJB42S48B14) with a lead screw to move up and down for specimen aspiration dispensing and tip disposal. The electronics that control/drive Linear Shaft Motors and the Hybrid Motors are also Nippon Pulse products.
